Adina graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan College with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and from Brenneke School of Massage (now Cortiva Institute- Seattle). She is nationally certified as both an athletic trainer and massage practitioner and licensed in the state of WA.
Her current practice focuses on restoring alignment, balance, strength and wellness to active individuals using structural integration (myofascial release), neuromuscular reeducation techniques, rehabilitative exercises, re-conditioning exercises, biomechanics and ergonomics, and nutrition. As a musician and former competitive athlete, Adina understands what it is like to be injured, how important it is to be functioning at optimal performance and strives to restore pain-free full function as quick and naturally as possible to those she works with.
For more than 10 yrs, Adina has worked with high school, college and professional athletes as well as weekend worriers. She began working with soccer, basketball, baseball, football, track & field, volleyball, wrestling, and tennis teams in 1999 in West Virginia, Indiana and New York. From 2003-2004, Adina spent time massaging cancer, infectious disease and renal (kidney) patients at Swedish Hospital and HIV/AIDs hospice patients at Bailey Boushay House in Seattle, WA as part of her massage training. In 2005 she began working at The Chiropractic Centre in Seattle and began helping professional musicians, dancers, cirque performers, yoga teachers, massage therapists, doctors, 9-5 ers and other active individuals restore function and health. She is proficient working with a variety of injuries and conditions including: concussions, neck and back pain, nerve impingement syndromes, rotator cuff and other shoulder injuries, knee problems, ankle sprains/strains, foot pain, broken bones, tendonitis pain, bursitis pain, fibromyalgia, Multiple Sclerosis, Down Syndrome, Muscular Dystrophy, HIV/AIDS, Cancer, Stroke, Seizures, digestive problems, hypertension, and Diabetes.
Adina is an eternal student and has focused her continuing education in the areas of: infrared therapy, Muscle Energy Technique, strength and conditioning exercises for athletes, fitness exercises, advanced first aid and CPR training, orthotic therapy, biomechanics and ergonomics, nutritional aspects of injuries, illnesses, sports and weight management, cransiosacral therapy, lymphatic drainage, sports massage, Positional Release Technique, Structural Integration, Juice Therapy and herbal remedies. Other professional interests and future training includes: muscle testing, visceral manipulation, osteopathic medicine, homeopathy, Feldenkrias and triathlon coaching.
When not working Adina loves to spend time with her husband, Donald, enjoying the cultural and natural beauties of the Seattle area.
